Chamber Happenings
AS OF JUNE 2010, I WILL RETIRE FROM THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE with over 38 years of full time service. My love, dedication and loyalty remains extremely high to the Chamber of Commerce’s officers, board members and staff.
I am retiring to serve The Lord in a fuller capacity than now; especially since my recent (non-pay) appointment from our NJ Conference of Churches to develop Prison Ministries in various churches of my denomination in New Jersey. Although this work will be implemented mostly on weekends I need more time to spend in my service to God and look forward to help and spend more time with my two grandchildren.
THE EXECUTIVE OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS approved/ratified my suggestions at the March 9, 2010 Board Meeting:
| • | After June 30th JEAN HRYNIW, Office Manager / Bookkeeper will be the acting president at least until the new fiscal year begins in September. Jean has been with the chamber approximately 32 years and is fully capable to assume the position of acting president. I will be available for consultation. With the financial/ economic crisis that has come upon families, businesses, and chambers throughout the country, this will help the chamber financially prepare for the new year. | | • | I will continue to assist the Chamber, before a new CEO is contracted, by working part-time in both my Home and Chamber Offices with organizing the next major and smaller events, as well as specific meetings through June; write citations and resolutions; review legislation. |
It has been a journey that has been exciting, different and rewarding. It has been a journey with people — from small and big business to government and the military. This Chamber has been blessed by being recognized by these entities, these agencies, as an organization that has meaning, and is effective — not only to its members, towns, county and state, but far-reaching to make a difference in what happens in the country, which ultimately has an effect on every one of us.
Sincerely,
Lucy Greene
President
